Sticky Sweet

In honor of all the sugar I've been consuming this weekend (and today I'm sure), I thought I'd share all the sweet, saturated color in J. Crew's latest catalog. Mixing unexpected brights is a sure way to beat the (it feels like more like December) then Halloween blues! Pink, Green, Red, Purple etc...add some color to your life!! My eating habits only go down hill from now until Christmas! Happy Halloween!

Cottage Chic in Woodstock, VT.

Having just returned from a much needed girl's weekend away outside of Woodstock Vermont, I was excited to read about the adorable Vermont cottage of restaurateurs Deirdre Heekin and Caleb Barber's. The owners of this Italian lifestyle inspired home live in Vermont and operate Pane e Salute, a seven table restaurant and wine bar located in Woodstock. I love the unexpected, casual mix of color, texture, artwork and objects!

Happy Weekend!!

About to sign off for the weekend. I'm heading up to Vermont with a group of girls (also mothers of young kiddies)...there is lots of wine to drink and fun to be had!! I still need to run upstairs and throw some clothes in my weekend bag! My choices will look similar to this shot above. This got me thinking about how much I love travel bags and how I'm currently adoring everything from Mulberry. Here's a peek at the goodness!! Have a fabulous weekend all!! xx.

tis' the season

The chilly evenings have arrived in Boston. I'm heading up to Vermont for a much needed girl's weekend, we'll be lighting a fire or two for sure. It's much easier to grab dried wood indoors then to trudge outdoors in the cold and if you live in an urban environment you don't have much of a choice. Firewood is messy if not tucked away properly, messy. Here I've shared some inpsiring storage solutions.

Tufted

I love the femininity and drama tufting adds to a piece. I've been loving it lately. This sofa above from Restoration Hardware isn't for the faint of heart, but I think in the right space (albeit a huge space),  could be AMAZING!

These past two weeks have been insane and very stressful. I'm not sure what is in the air but I'm trying to focus, and remain positive, because it's really all you can do! This morning before hitting the gym I told myself, this is going to be a great week!! And then I came back to issues at the office!! UGH! Let's try again: This is going to be a GREAT week! Hope it is for you too.
Oh and I love ranunculus, they have always been my favorite flowers. I needed to post a pretty picture and a positive quote today!!

the autumn table-scape

I tend to nest indoors and entertain more this time of year. It's very simple to create a dramatic table! Here are some gorgeous ideas for your Fall fete! I have a penchant for Faux Bois. I actually framed this wrapping paper. It hangs in my office but could also be used as table decor. If you're feeling very inspired why not create your own runner with a little paint and the proper roller!

Candles in clear bottles? This is so easy but makes a lasting impression! (start saving your clear wine bottles)

I love the texture and various heights created with this array of fall foliage and flowers.
