Recipe:

White Wine Mojito; Tiny Boxwoods Recipe: 1 bottle white wine, 1 cup sparkling lemonade, 1 cup chopped mint leaves, 2 limes (sliced and juiced).

4.  I'm wearing this J. Crew bauble to a wedding tomorrow.

5. I'm addicted to lip balm and 6. adore beautiful wallpapers like this oversized botanical print.

I LOVE this time of year! I begin to dream about it by mid-February. I'm thrilled it has arrived, along with my upcoming favorite holiday. (July 4th)!! I'm a very happy girl - everything always seems okay (even if it is not) in July...
A day at the beach and all that follows into the evening is perfection!
I thought I'd start the week off with some beach style inspiration!
 As I get older I'm coming to the realization that life is less stressful when you keep the things you do have control over fairly simple! This house on the water is amazing. I love how welcoming this picket fenced surrounded version one is. (below)

and what is better than a cool cocktail on an outdoor porch or patio after a long day in the sun?

This week I'm inspired by model Erin Heatherton's look and locks. I love how her hair is styled and her make-up is perfection! (I suppose It helps that she's drop dead gorgeous too). Sometimes you can't go wrong with a "little black dress" and simple make-up. I'd throw on a pair of statement earrings for a little dose of glamour!

p.s. - The Hoola bronzer is my favorite. I wear it everyday!

Happenings....

1. I couldn't agree with this sentiment more. "Time to drink champagne and dance on the table"! (let's hope so anyway). Here's a little snapshot of my week in photos.
My fabulously talented friend, Sarah from Lilhoot, is giving her daughter's teacher this little treat for the last day of school. That's my kind of gift Ms. Crawford! Nicely done!

2. Here's a sneak peek of a friendly budget friendly job I just finished up! I took this quick pic yesterday. I ADORE Rose Cummings - Zebrine wallpaper. I think I have to use it at my own home someday!

3. I picked up Martha's food issue yesterday. It is chock full of yummy recipes.

4. It's been raining all week in Boston. My three year old daughter insists on picking out her own clothing....Here is her rainy day outfit selection this week!

Happy Tuesday! I have lots going on in my life right now, so frankly I'm routing for a short and positive week around here!!! Here's what's on my radar today!

1. Ranunculus and peonies are hands down my favorite summer blooms!!

3. You just can't beat outdoor living, I'm loving this cute little hanging seat with it's mix of bohemian prints.

Outdoors in

I love the idea of using woven chairs indoors. Their organic quality beautifully layers in with everyday objects and furniture. I recently revamped a tired dining room in about 12 hours, with a $3,000 budget and limited shopping sources in the area. I couldn't switch out the dining table but I did change out the chairs. I placed two woven chairs on either end of the table and the simple transformation was pretty impressive. I'll share those photos with you all soon, along with my television commercial that included the re-design!! eek! (Above image: Tory Burch's home in Vogue)

I've decided to designate Monday's post to my "thoughts on home" series. Today I've combined the cottage love post (another well received series) with the "thoughts on home".
 
I've shared with you in the past my love of the California cottage style. I'm surely going to add some bohemain luxe to my new place. (think white walls, worn tibetan rugs, modern and vintage elements combined etc.)
